My name is a word
Every now and then, someone uses “Macklin” to refer to something.
This started as a form of play that, to put it briefly, makes a game go gonzo, further detailed by Josh Roby. That’s been in use since 2007, when I blanked on a question and answered with the first random thought in my head.
Earlier this year, Kevin Fitzpatrick (@kfitzpatrick) described an episode of drinking with me one night as “being Macklined” — which he defined as “drinking far more than you realized because you were drinking with Macklin.”
And this evening, another friend defined Macklin to mean “a viciously elegant yet beautiful emotional gut punch” after I emailed her a poem I wrote.
So, my name gets to be a killing word next, right?
Just saying. Christmas is around the corner. Would be a wicked gift.
